chocolate sea salt peanut butter bites

Though she be little, she be fierce! These taste pretty similar to more well known chocolate peanut butter treats, but way better tasting in my opinion and of course have a better nutritional profile. Simple, delicious and rather addictive (you have been warned).

In eating these, you'll be treating yourself, but also getting a hit of the following:

Medjool Dates: magnesium, fibre, B complex, potassium, copper

Grass Fed Butter: Vitamins A, E and K, antioxidants

Peanut Butter: protein, potassium, fibre, magnesium

Sea Salt: trace minerals and electrolytes

Hulled hemp seeds: digestible protein, omega fatty acids

I'm not sure even sure I can call this a recipe it's so simple but here you go anyway!

Serves 4, Gluten Free

MAKE THIS RECIPE

▢ 4 fresh medjool dates

▢ 4 x (3/4t) crunchy peanut butter

▢ 8 squares of your favourite dark chocolate

▢ 4 x (1/2t) salted grass fed butter

▢ quality sea salt

▢ optional: hulled hemp seeds

  1. Remove pits from dates and open them up (leaving a seam)

  2. Place 1/2t of butter in opened date.

  3. Place 3/4t of peanut butter in opened date, close date up. Put in fridge for 30 mins to firm up.

  4. Melt the chocolate (over low heat).

  5. Roll each date in melted chocolate.

  6. Lay on plate with natural waxed paper. Sprinkle hemp seeds and sea salt on top.

  7. Place in fridge to harden (or freezer if you prefer your treats solid)
